PRESIDENT
As the User Group President, your duties will be many and varied. You will be required to fill in where others do not step forward, and to show a willingness to take charge and responsibility.
You will appropriately assign action items to those in attendance at the planning meetings. This Means you need to have vision as to where you want things to go. You must be willing to assign action Items to yourself as well as others. You will also secure printing services, handle and approve Distributions of User Group related materials-oftentimes, solely handling the distribution.
You will be responsible for coordinating the regular Badgerland User Group meetings held at specified times of each year. Follow-up responsibilities include the rental of equipment and conference space. You must possess a willingness and ability to communicate to groups from 15 to 400, either in writing or verbally.
You will be responsible for conducting the planning meetings with those on the Executive Committee and the User Company Advisors. You will work with the Secretary to schedule these meetings. You will be the opening speaker at the Badgerland User Group Meetings.
The ownership of the User Group will be transferred into the hands of the elected, executive committee upon being elected/re-elected to the positions. You will be authorized to sign checks and make deposits into the User Group checking account. You and the treasurer will be responsible for ensuring that tax liabilities for the User Group are met, if needed.
Acting in the capacity of a goodwill ambassador, you will be charged with building the membership-either with direct Users or User companies.
You will be central focal contact point for most activities and will spend minor amounts of time aiding Users and User companies with directions on where to look and who to call for specific information.
Head Cheerleader best describes this position. You must be willing to work with, and enable others to work for the best interests of the Users. You can count on working a minimum of 5 hours per month. During months when city wide conferences are held, you will work a minimum of ten hours per month.
VICE- PRESIDENT Responsibilities
- Assist the President in coordinating user group meetings
- Coordinate elections for the executive user group board
- Assist in all areas where your services are required
- In the absence of the President, you will be responsible for taking over all duties of the President.
TREASURER Responsibilities
- Collect dues
- Send invoices and collect fees for group support items, vendor participation at User Group meetings, and all other revenue-generating activities.
- Responsible for general money management tasks such as making bank deposits, balancing the checkbook, ensuring that the account is never overdrawn, keeping the other officers informed of the current financial status, etc.
- Issue checks for all debts owed
- File the appropriate forms with the IRS
SECRETARY Responsibilities
- Take notes at meetings
- Keep a list of local companies and contacts using Pro/ENGINEER who are interested in the local user group.
- Contribute to meetings.
WEBMASTER Responsibilities
- Make sure web site is up and running
- Web site development and maintenance
- Keep members informed about upcoming events
- Contribute to meetings
